MARGAO: Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar along with Benaulim MLA Caetano Silva inspected the River Sal embankment in Benaulim which had collapsed earlier in June following incessant rains.
The Chief Minister requested the Benaulim MLA to move the required paperwork with noting soon and assured to process the suggestions soon.
The MLA also informed the CM on the flood-like situation in Benaulim, Seraulim and Mungul where rainwater has entered people’s houses.
Parsekar’s visit comes following several notifications to the State Government on the embankment collapse.
