PANJIM: It was a special moment for over a dozen special children on their visit to Agassaim police station where they spent nearly two hours interacting with the police officers, learning a bit of policing and some basic first aid techniques. The children, accompanied by their parents and teachers, were also entertained through a magic performance.
The brain behind the event – Agassaim police inspector Jivba Dalvi – said that the functioning of the police station such as wireless messages being circulated to various police stations/units/ border check posts, role and duties of the police officials, the working of patrolling vehicles, action taken on a complaints lodged, etc was explained to the students.
The students were also trained on basic first aid techniques followed by an entertainment show and had an interaction with the police officers.
