Power Minister Alexio Sequeira today announced that the ban on release of power to new industries would be lifted soon.
Clarifying to the points made by the opposition leader, Sequeira said that the ban on release of power was imposed due to the shortage.
“We have finalized purchase of 37 mw of power and it is just a matter of few days before things come to normal,” he said.
On the menace of plastic, Sequeira who is also the environment minister said that his department is also on the verge of solving the issue.
“There are people who lift plastic over a period of time but there is no facility to dispose it,” he said adding “…now the department of Environment is signing a contract with a company called ACC Wadi, which will lift plastic and dispose it.”
