MARGAO: Gusty winds and heavy rainfall have resulted in 17 tree fall incidents in Salcete and other areas of State on Wednesday.
As is the case every year, the Station road area in Margao gets flooded with water and receives numerous power cuts.
Margao, Navelim, Comba, Colva, Benaulim, Cuncolim, Fatorpa, and other areas have faced a fury of winds and rain on Wednesday.
Sea waves washed on to all the beaches of South Goa.
People of Margao and surrounding areas have complained that they have faced power cuts at least 20 times in a day. Some of the establishments in Margao remained closed due to the power outage.
Margao has also faced traffic jams due to more 4 wheeler vehicles on roads on account of rains.
