MARGAO: Colva police on Wednesday arrested a Karnataka native and rescued a woman who was allegedly brought for prostitution purpose.
According to Colva Police, they laid a trap and arrested the accused one Imran Ahmed, a native of Karnataka, near Colva and rescued the woman.
The police further informed that the accused Imran, who at present residing at Ponda, had a month ago, allegedly brought the woman from Kolkata to Goa, to push her into flesh trade.
The police had received information that the accused was supposed to come to Colva to strike a deal and without wasting anytime the cops laid a trap and arrested him. The victim was later sent to a protective home.
