PONDA: Venktesh Kamat (33) from Mangueshim succumbed to serious injuries that he suffered in an accident at Farmagudi slope, on Tuesday evening.
According to Ponda Police, Venktesh was proceeding on his scooter towards Mangueshim from Ponda and when he reached Farmagudi slope, he collided with an oncoming truck and suffered serious head injuries.
He was shifted to Goa Medical College, Bambolim immediately. While undergoing treatment he succumbed to injuries Wednesday early morning at 3 pm.
It is learnt that he was a lower Division Clerk at PWD, Fatorda.
Ponda police have registered an accident case and are investigating the same.
