VASCO: Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho on Thursday inspected the Vaddem Lake where the Ganesh idol immersion takes place every year. Godinho stated that this year, people would have to follow safety norms due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic.
He added that this year too, Drishti lifeguards will be present at the Vaddem lake from 3.30 pm onwards during the Ganesh Idol immersion. He also stated that special attention to the cleanliness of the place is being given and the area will be cleaned by Friday.

Godinho pointed out that the surroundings of the lake had been beautified recently and the illumination of the lake during the immersion will give a beautiful ambience. He also mentioned that the quick filling of potholes from his constituency roads will be done in two days. After the inspection, he extended his greetings to the public ahead of the Ganesh festival.
