MARGAO: Collem Police apprehended Ladu Kuka Singh, a 22-year-old resident of Rajasthan, at the Mollem check post on July 27. Singh was found in possession of a country-made pistol, complete with a magazine and three live cartridges, without any valid documentation for the firearm.
Singh was arrested at around 6.45 pm, when he was travelling from Anmod towards Ponda. The discovery was made during a routine check at the Mollem Check Post. Following the arrest, Singh was taken into custody and subsequently produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) in Sanguem. He has been remanded to five days in police custody for further investigation.
