MARGAO: Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco has decided to play safe and speak less to avoid controversy ahead of elections.
Reginaldo has been frank in the past criticising the Congress and flirting with Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardessai. However, this time around, he is lying low.
Asked whether he would get the Congress ticket for Curtorim, he said, “I am a Congress MLA and I have told my party to give ticket to good candidates and to keep away tainted leaders. If party takes good decision, then, I don’t see a reason not getting the party ticket.”
“I have kept the flag of Congress high in the assembly session and if I have done it I won’t have a problem in getting through,” Reginaldo said.
Commenting on alliance , Reginaldo said, “Alliance talks are on and we are expecting a good decision and a positive direction for future. It’s time leaders listened to the people as the writing on the wall is clear.”
“Our focus should be that a good government is formed. We have seen what had happened earlier; and I don’t want to be a part of such a government. They said they looted in mining but no action has been taken, which proves that conniving is the order of the day,” Reginaldo alleged.
