MARGAO:In just a few months since the SGPDA cleared whole sale market of retail vendors, the vendors are back and are sitting along the entrance of the fish market. There are a couple of vans selling baked good as well and that too inside the fish market complex.
The SGPDA market inspector told Herald that they cleared them last time but they keep coming back. He said that the board is considering changing the market contractor. The vendors don’t just cause inconvenience to the public but also cause a loss to vendors who sell fish at the SGPDA retail market.
The market inspector said that they had offered space to these vendors in the retail market but they are unwilling to shift because they don’t want to pay the market rent.
