VALPOI: A carrier rickshaw driver had a miraculous escape after his vehicle collided with an oncoming bus at Nanus Valpoi. The impact of the accident was such that the front portion of the rickshaw was totally damaged and the driver who was trapped inside the rickshaw was removed by police and fire personnel from Valpoi.
The rickshaw was proceeding to Ponda via Nanus Valpoi.
According to Valpoi police inspector Sanjay Dalvi the rickshaw driver Manohar Gaude from Ponda received minor injuries as he was trapped inside the vehicle cabin. The rickshaw had a head-on collision with a bus proceeding to Valpoi from Advoi Bhironde at around Noon.
The injured driver who was rushed to Community Health Centre Valpoi was discharged after treatment later.
