PANJIM: Ahead of the 49th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), scheduled to begin from November 20, the North District Magistrate has ordered the temporary closure of the road from Panjim Market to DBB Marg along INOX Complex for all traffic from the commencement of the festival till November 28, 2018.
The order states that the road should be suitably barricaded and the material used for the barricading the roads be immediately removed to be thrown open for vehicular flow as soon as the film festival is over.
“Sufficient traffic signages should be erected for the information of the motorists. The contractor shall deploy sufficient number of traffic marshals for guiding the motorists and shall put up “Road Closed” sign for the information of the motorists at appropriate places,” the order states.
