PANJIM: To ensure that its senior officers are well-equipped with IT-enabled initiatives and their smoother implementation, the State government has decided to provide financial support upto Rs one lakh, in every five year, to its employees for purchase of devices including computers, smart phones, software services, etc.
The scheme of providing technology devices will be applicable to all officers belonging to Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Goa Civil Service (GCS) and non GSC administrative officers who are holding the post of heads of departments.

In an office memorandum issued by Joint Secretary General Administration Anju Kerkar, it is said that for wider and smother adoption of online portals and other I-T facilities, senior functionaries need to be well-equipped and highly familiar with computer workstations, printers and other technology devices to carry out tasks online.
