Saligao double murder: police probe underway, second victim yet to be identified

The two men found dead in Saligao have been identified as Richard D’Mello, a resident of Nagoa, and Sonu Singh. Sources said Sonu worked for Richard, who managed a music business, and was staying in the rented house where the incident occurred. Both were discovered with knife injuries on their throats, and police have recovered the suspected murder weapon from the site. Authorities believe that two to three other individuals might be involved in the case. A detailed investigation is currently underway to determine the motive and sequence of events leading to the double murder.

As per sources, the man was living alone in a rented accommodation, and police are now working to identify the second victim. Senior officials — IGP Keshav Chaurisia, SP Rahul Gupta, DySP Vishesh Karpe, PI, and other officers — reached the site to assess the situation. Early indications suggest that one of the deceased could be a local resident. The Saligao double murder case has shaken the area, prompting authorities to fast-track the investigation and question those familiar with the victims.
