A 32-year-old man from Charavne, Sattari, succumbed to his injuries at Goa Medical College (GMC) after he was allegedly attacked by a wild animal while riding his two-wheeler on Charavne Road.
The deceased has been identified as Yashwant Gopal Gawas, a resident of Charavne village in Sattari taluka. According to preliminary information, the incident occurred when Gawas was travelling along the road and was suddenly attacked by a wild animal, causing him to lose control of his vehicle and sustain serious injuries.

He was rushed to GMC for treatment, where doctors declared him dead.
Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. Forest department officials have also been informed, and efforts are expected to be undertaken to identify the animal involved and prevent similar incidents in the area.
The incident has once again raised concerns among residents about increasing wild animal movement near inhabited areas and the need for stronger preventive measures to ensure public safety.
