The swine flu scare hit a city-based school when rumours did the rounds that a student was referred for a check up at the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim.
The school authorities had a hard time to convince people that the student has tested negative for the any flu, while terming the reports as just rumours.
Rumours began to spread in the city that a student of the school fell victim to the swine flu. Even as health officials made their presence felt at the school as a precautionary measure, the school authorities insisted that not a single student had been affected by swine flu.
