PANJIM: Goa Police Crime Branch busted a sex racket and arrested two persons from Sangolda late Thursday night.
According to Crime Branch PI Satish Gawade, the accused duo Karishma Baraily, a native of Darjeeling in West Bengal and her accomplice Rihan were caught red handed while delivering the victim girl to the prospective customer for sex against her will and were living on the victim’s earnings.
Gawade informed that the rescued victim girl has been lodged in protective home in Merces.
The accused duo was arrested under Section 370 r/w 34 of IPC and Sections 4 and 5 of Immoral Traffic (prevention) Act of 1956 and lodged in police custody.
