In Vagator, the construction of shacks is causing a stir among shack owners, with some facing challenges in obtaining necessary permits. Notably, in the Vajran area of Vagator, where no shacks have been erected, certain shack owners are encountering difficulties, alleging that the Department officials are responsible for the obstacles they are facing.
Sreedhar Goltekar, a shack owner, spoke to Herald and accused Department officials of hindering the construction process. He highlighted that despite paying substantial amounts, some shack owners are experiencing delays and struggling to secure the required No Objection Certificates (NOC) from the concerned department.
The shack owners are expressing frustration over the perceived bureaucratic hurdles, emphasizing the financial implications and the impact on their businesses. The situation underscores the need for a streamlined and transparent process to ensure that legitimate businesses can operate without undue delays or obstacles in the construction and licensing procedures. Authorities are urged to address the concerns raised by the shack owners and facilitate a smoother process for obtaining necessary approvals.
