Students Lead Road Safety Awareness Rally in Sachili, Highlight Dangers of Underage Driving

As part of the State Road Safety Act initiatives, the Dicholi RTO office, in collaboration with Sachili Government Higher Secondary School, organized a road safety awareness rally in the city on Tuesday.

During the rally, students staged a street play at the Sachili bus stand, spreading messages about the importance of following traffic rules and safe driving practices. The programme highlighted the risks posed by underage driving, with officials stressing that minors riding vehicles without observing rules endanger not only their own lives but also those of others.

Speaking at the event, Assistant Traffic Director Sanjay Parodkar, School Principal Shrikrishna Naik, and RTO Inspector Sunny Pednekar praised the students’ active participation and reiterated the need for continuous public awareness to promote road discipline and safety.

The initiative drew positive response from locals, with authorities emphasizing that such campaigns play a key role in building a culture of responsible road use.
