University General Secretary Soham Raut has submitted a memorandum to MLA Vijay Sardesai, urging him to raise several pressing student concerns in the Legislative Assembly regarding facilities and services at Goa University.
The memorandum outlines seven major issues affecting students, including the absence of a boys’ common room and non-functional gymkhana facilities despite fees being collected. Students also pointed to delays in the revaluation process and demanded the extension of the Bal Rath transport facility to include college students.
Additional concerns raised include the need for dedicated bus services from every taluka to the university campus, improved internet connectivity, and the installation and proper maintenance of sanitary pad vending machines.
The student body stated that the memorandum reflects the collective concerns of the campus community and called for timely intervention to improve academic services and basic amenities for students.
