PANJIM: The Education Department has clarified that the suicide of the boy is not due to lack of a mobile phone, as his brother and parents have clarified that he was already in possession of a smart phone.
The boy was studying in Class X at St Elizabeth High School, Pomburpha.

His brother who is a priest also denied it to be a suicide due to lack of a mobile phone. In an inquiry conducted by the department, it is revealed that the said boy was very calm and had a helping nature. Overall he was a good child with average academic performances. Attributing illogical reasons to a tragic event on part of journalists who have not investigated the event fully is reprehensible.
