In a major crackdown on an inter-state narcotics network, Telangana Police has exposed an international drug racket that allegedly used courier services to smuggle contraband into India, with links traced to Goa.
Officials have named five individuals from Goa as accused in the case, marking a significant breakthrough in uncovering the network’s operations. Preliminary investigations suggest that the syndicate sourced drugs from abroad and distributed them across multiple states using courier channels to evade detection.
Authorities revealed that the racket had established a structured supply chain, enabling the movement of narcotics between states, including Telangana. The use of international courier routes is believed to have played a key role in facilitating the smuggling activities.
Police have intensified efforts to identify additional members of the network and dismantle its wider operations. Further investigation is underway, with officials focusing on tracing financial transactions, supply routes, and international connections linked to the syndicate.
The case highlights the growing sophistication of drug trafficking networks and the increasing use of unconventional methods to bypass enforcement agencies.
