MARGAO: An unknown accused person entered into a rented room in Cuncolim and stole a purse and Rs 5,000.

The thief made use of a SBI ATM card, withdrew Rs 20,000 cash and also made purchases worth Rs 34, 666 from various outlets.
According to Cuncolim Police Station sources, Prakash Paras lodged a complaint in this regard. Fortunately for the thief, Paras had written the ATM pin code on a paper slip and had inserted it in his purse.
Cuncolim Police have registered an offence under Sections 454, 380 and 403 of IPC against the unknown person.
Police said investigation is in progress.
