Two Held for Illegal Tree Felling in Dhargal; Forest Officials Seize Vehicle and Equipment

The Pernem Forest Department has arrested two individuals for allegedly cutting Khair trees illegally at Dadachiwadi, Dhargal. Acting on a tip-off, forest officials conducted a raid at the site and apprehended the accused while they were engaged in the illegal felling activity.

During the operation, authorities also seized a vehicle and a wood-cutting machine used in the offence. The department has registered a case under the relevant provisions of the Forest Act, and further investigation is currently underway to identify others who may be involved in the illicit activity.
