“The Governor’s speech was like the government’s annual report (that largely spelt out their achievements). Why she left the speech incomplete is because the address was so sugarcoated by the government that she preferred to leave it halfway,” he told the House during the discussion on the Motion of Thanks on Wednesday.

He also criticized the government for allowing Surat District Co-operative Milk Producers Union to set up an Amul pattern of dairy business in the State. “Is this a Gujarat model? The government is killing Goa Dairy by bringing Amul… Is the government thinking about benefit for Goans?” he questioned. On the garbage menace, the MLA questioned the poor cleanliness in the State. When Cess is collected in the name of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the government should ensure cleanliness… The peak-season saw wastes strewn all over,” he said.
