MARGAO: Balli villagers on Tuesday gheraoed PWD officials over water scarcity in the village.
Agitated over low-water pressure plaguing the village since the last many days, local residents marched to the PWD office to seek explanation over the situation.
Quepem Deputy Collector, Shagun Velim, Mamlatdar Manoj Korgaonkar and police rushed to the PWD office anticipating law and order problem.
The Deputy Collector called the PWD Executive Engineer, A Caeiro, Assistant Engineer Vijay Kudchadkar and other officials to discuss the water scarcity faced by the residents.
