The Village panchayat of WarkhandNagzar, Pernem has passed a unanimous resolution in a gram sabha meeting to ban the existing liquor shops and bars and refuse liquor permits to liquor shops and bars in the future.
The panchayat has also decided to meet with the concerned MLA with a request to provide jobs to the village youth at the Mopa Airport and resolve the taxi issue. The panchayat members informed GMR that it is yet to pay the panchayat construction fees of the Mopa international airport.
