Water Supply Disruption in Panjim and Surrounding Areas Due to Pipeline Breakdown and Heavy Rains

Residents of Panjim, Taleigao, St. Cruz, and parts of St. Andre will experience restricted water supply on Saturday, following a major pipeline breakdown at Opa Water Works late Friday night.

According to the Executive Engineer I, Department of Drinking Water, Panjim-Goa, the disruption has been caused by a combination of heavy rainfall, electrical interruptions, and damage to the main pipeline. Emergency repair work is currently underway to restore normal supply as soon as possible.
