Reacting to a query from the media, MLA Jit Arolkar said that he will introduce a Bill and speak on the issue in the Assembly, reiterating his long-standing stand that Section 39A of the Town and Country Planning (TCP) Act has become a major concern for Goa.
Arolkar stated that he has consistently maintained from the beginning that the provision is problematic for the state and needs to be removed.
“From day one, I have been saying that this is a problem for Goa. He has also agreed that Section 39A of the TCP Act must be scrapped,” Arolkar said.
He added that he will raise the matter in the House while introducing the Bill, emphasising the need for legislative action on the issue.
