Jit Arolkar said he will raise key concerns related to land protection and development in the Goa Legislative Assembly, stating that the issues need to be discussed openly in the House.
Responding to questions from the media, Arolkar said he intends to present the demands of the people and highlight what corrections are required in the current system, particularly with regard to protecting land and addressing public concerns.
He also spoke about land conversions and noted that the conversions carried out so far have been described as provisional by Vishwajit Rane.
Arolkar added that he had personally requested the minister not to permit large-scale land conversions in Pernem. According to him, the minister agreed with the concerns raised and has currently kept the matter on hold.
“The minister assured that the proposal would not be taken forward,” Arolkar said, reiterating that he will raise the issue in the Assembly while advocating for measures to safeguard land and address the expectations of the people.
