Woman rescued from Chapora River

PANJIM: The weekend witnessed a single rescue of an Iranian woman at Chapora. A 24-year-old woman from Iran ventured into the Chapora River for a swim and got pulled by a rip current. Noticing the victim struggling, a shack owner immediately informed Drishti lifesavers Sachin Naik and Suhas Gawas, who relayed rescue call and immediately rushed to the victim’s rescue.
