VALPOI: Ballal Laxman Bhave, 24, from Ambede, Sattari, died on the spot after a head-on collision between his two-wheeler and an oncoming car at Valpoi-Honda road, at Bhuipal. The accident took place at 5 pm, on Thursday.
As per the sources, the deceased was proceeding from Valpoi to Honda when he rammed his bike into the oncoming vehicle. He suffered grave injuries to his head which resulted in his immediate death.

He was taken to the Sanquelim Primary Health Centre where the doctors declared him brought dead. His body was later sent to the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim for autopsy after Honda police conducted the panchnama. Bhave had joined a government job at the Goa Medical College and Hospital, a year ago.
