VASCO: A 21 years old youth from Baina was arrested for sexually molesting a 13-year-old boy on Diwali day. According to the Vasco Police, Chandrakant Jaiswal allegedly molested the minor and later threatened him with dire consequences, if he revealed about the incident to anyone.
Police informed that the victim under fear, did not inform about the incident to anyone, but finally broke his silence and narrated about the incident to his parents.
“The moment the parents lodged the complaint, we sent the victim for medical test and even arrested the accused person,” police told.
A case under section 377, 342 of IPC and Section 8 of Goa Children Act and POCSO has been registered against the accused person and PSI Tavares is further investigating the case.
