Normandez’ audio CD ‘Kazarachim 25 Vorsam’ has a collection of 11 songs on varied themes, with prime focus on relations, language and heritage. The opening song, ‘Konkani’ by Normandez, unveils the pride of the local language. He says each Goan should feel proud to speak Konkani, despite the fluency in a foreign language. “People from other states take pride in speaking their state language. By doing so, they keep uplifting their mother tongue,” he adds.
The following song, ‘Tum Dhoni-ea Kalzacho’ by SuccuFerns/Roseferns, is an interesting tale of a blind husband and his wife. Due to his disability on account of an accident, the man asks his spouse to return to her home. But the wife is determined to serve her hubby, encountering all the hardships.
Two duets, ‘Ghor Mojem Daktuleam’ and ‘Oh Mugele Bailea’ by Peter/Roshan, focus on relationships that prevail in modern families. Each of them has an interesting tale with a powerful message as a concluding note.
The title song, ‘Kazarachim 25 Vorsam’ by Sonia/Roma/ Rons/Normandez, speaks about an unusual gift of Rs 25 lakhs offered by an unknown donor. The jubilant couple is perplexed and curious to know about this generous gesture. The parish priest unveils the mystery and highlights the value of a mother who lives a lonely life.
Another two duets, ‘Self Defense Subject’ and ‘Mono’ by Bhuska/Normandez and Sonia/Selvy, highlight brother-sister and father/daughter and fiancé relationship respectively.
A solo, ‘Assolna’ by Normandez, throws light on the history of the tiny village in Salcete. “The pride of the village is the magnificent monument of Christ the King which stands first in Asia,” he reveals.
Lenoy Gomendez has done a fine job by providing scintillating music to all the songs. The album has been recorded at Lens Digital Studio, Sirlim.
