Story: After 12 long years, Savio (Ulhas Tari) returns from America and reunites with his family in Goa. He immediately sends his only son Leo (Creto) to America. What will be the outcome?
Review:
Leo is in love with Jenny (Antonette de Maina) and has the support of his godfather, Bernard (Roseferns). He waits for the right opportunity to inform his mother, Gloria (Roma), about his love affair. Meanwhile, Leo’s father, Savio, returns from America and expresses his desire to see his only son settled there.
Leo does not get the chance to inform his parents about his relationship with Jenny and he proceeds to America for better prospects. On the sly, Rocky (Rosario de Benaulim), who runs a private agency of recruiting people abroad, eyes Jenny.
As Savio has returned from America, Rocky seeks partnership in his business. Jenny feels lonely without Leo and to know more about him, Bernard advises her to serve as a maid in Leo’s house.
With Leo seeking a green card in America, will Jenny get her fiancé back? Or will she lose him forever? What compels Leo to return home? How does he react to Jenny? What is the end result?
Roseferns’ 90th production ‘Tumcho Upkari Hanv’ is a family melodrama, with focus on amassing wealth and negligence of family. It has various twists and turns and an unexpected climax at the end. Each of the artistes has given their best of performance. Ulhas Tari and Roma stand tall as husband and wife. Creto and Antonette de Maina are comfortable as lovebirds. Roseferns comes in as and when required as the good Samaritan. Rosario de Benaulim delivers in style and shines in his negative character.
In the comic acts, Fernando, Nato and Dorothy team up and entertain with enough laughter pills. But two comic episodesof the music school and singing competition of the senior citizens appear slow.
In the category of songs, Rosario de Benaulim and Roma render the opening chorus, while Creto, Nato, Roma, Rosario de Benaulim, Roseferns and Alison entertain with their solos. Three duets by Rosario and Roma, Creto and Antonette, Dorothy and Alison carry a message or two. There is also a trio by Creto, Nato and Fernando, but a duo was missing.
Theo Alvares and his team have provided good music for all the songs. Stage sets have been handled by Aliton and Welington and Tremson has taken care of the light sets.
