PANJIM: Goa Shipyard Limited under the Ministry of Defence will hold a 5 km mini marathon, on January 22. The theme for the event is “Run For Nation”.
The event will be conducted from the Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) Stadium, Chicalim from 7 a.m. Invitation for active and voluntary participation has been extended to general public including youth and children from schools and colleges.
The mini marathon will be conducted for U-16 boys and girls and above 16 years for men and women.
The winners of the men and women above 16 years will be awarded Rs 5,000 each while the runners-up will get Rs 4,000 each. The second runners-up will bag Rs 3,000 each.
The winners of the boys and girls U-16 years will be awarded Rs 2,500 each while the runners-up will get Rs 2,000 each. The second runners-up will bag Rs 1,500 each.
There will be 25 consolation prizes.
The registration forms are available at various outlets including reception centre of Goa Shipyard Limited, Teles Mega Store on the Airport road and Temptations,Vasco.
Desirous candidates should submit their filled in registration form along with registration fee of Rs 10 to the reception centre at Goa Shipyard Limited.
