PANJIM: An 11-member delegation from ACOLOP headed by its president Alex Wong will arrive here tomorrow for a 2-day general assembly starting on Thursday to take stock of the preparations for the 3rd Lusofonia Games to be held in Goa in November.
ACOLOP secretary Mario Rosa of Angola, vice-president Franklin Palma of Mozambique will be part of the delegation which will deal with the report prepared by the Coordination Committee which inspected the ongoing works last month and is expected to give its final say on the conduct of the Games in Goa.
Games CEO and sports secretary Keshav Chandra will make a presentation on the current status of the ongoing works concerned with the infrastructure for hosting the events.
“The delegation will basically review the progress of the works being undertaken by the Government besides also considering the report by the working group from Macau and Brazil which inspected the works last month,” stated GOA secretary Gurudatta Bhakta.
The delegation will also have a support team from the ACOLOP headquarters based in Macau.
