SANGUEM: Arlem Youth Association moved into the quarter-finals of Golden Jubilee inter-village football tournament organised by Uguem Rising Club at URC ground, Uguem, Sanguem, on Friday.
In a keenly contested match which was witnessed by a large crowd, Arlem Youth Association got the better of Navelim Villagers Union 3-0.

During the lemon break, the score read 1-0 after Eldon Colaco found the net while the match was 25 minute old. Eldon dribbled a couple of rival players before firing a direct shot into the net.
After changing ends, Navelim Villagers Union made all possible forays into the rival citadel to level the score but the Arlem defenders made no mistakes from their end.
While the match was about to end, Leran Dias scored a brace in the 41st and 42nd minutes leaving no chances for the Navelim Villagers to bounce back. Leron Dias was presented with the man-of-the-match trophy by Jackpaul Colaco while Navelim Villagers Union were presented a memento by Dhaa Bhandari.
