PANJIM: Askarali Patil and Vaibhav Raul clinched gold medal in Kumite in their respective weight categories while Kiran Kumar Moodi clinched silver medal in the U-21 boys category TKAG Junior State Karate Championship 2017 organised by Traditional Karate Association Goa, recognised by Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) at Peddem Sports Complex, Mapusa, recently.
In the U-21 years girls, Samidha Bhanage won gold (Kumite -45 kg) while Tulsi Dalvi clinched gold (Kumite -61 Kg) and Bronze (Kata).
In 12 years boys category, Suraj Anvatti clinched, gold medal (Kumite -35 Kg), Daniyal Khan won gold (Kumite -45 Kg), Prince Agarwadekar won the bronze medal (Kumite -35 Kg), and Asim Shaikh bagged bronze medal (Kumite +45 Kg).
Sandesh Kolikar bagged gold (Kumite -68 Kg) and bronze medal (Kata), Arun Kumar Moodi bagged silver (Kata) and bronze medal (Kumite -50 Kg), Shashank Naik won gold (Kumite -50 Kg) while Vinayak Aralimatti won bronze medal (Kumite -50 Kg) in the 16-17 years boys category.
In the U-21 years boys category Askarali Patil and Vaibhav Raul won Gold medals in Kumite competition while Kiran Kumar Moodi bagged Silver Medal (Kumite -60 Kg).
In this Championship more than six hundred students had participated from International Japan Karate Association of India – Goa (IJKA) bagged fourteen gold, eleven silver and fifteen bronze medals.
