CHINCHINIM: Auxilium HS, Benaulim defeated Assumpta Convent HS, Sarzora via the tie-breaker 5-4 in the UCV School Cup U-16 inter school football tournament organised by Union of Chinchinim Villagers, at Chinchinm Church ground, on Wednesday.
Both teams were goalless at the end of regulation time. In the tie-breaker, Auxilium HS scored through Delroy, Declan, Shavan, Austin and Diego while
Nash, Adriel, Clisson and Preston netted for Assumpta Convent HS.
Austin D’Silva of Auxilium HS, Benaulim was named man-of-the-match.
In the second match, Regina Martyrum HS, Assolna shot-out Infant Jesus HS, Colva 5-4 via the tie-breaker.
In the first half, Infant Jesus HS took a lead through Joselly Goes.
In the second half, Regina Martyrum HS equalised in the dying minute through Praney Redkar.
In the tiebreaker, Regina Martyrum scored through Prajwal, Crosley, Brighton and Jolan while Noor, Aman and Nayab netted for Infant Jesus HS.
