MAPUSA: BAFF huffed and puffed before they finally got the better of St Anthony’s SC, Marna, by a solitary goal win in the 1st Vedanta Soccer Trophy organised by Sinquerim Sports Club at Sinquerim ground, on Saturday.
The all-important goal for BAFF came in the very 5th minute of play through the boots of Aryan Shaikh, who scored from the penalty spot 1-0.
Earlier, FC Siolim registered a hard-fought 1-0 win over Goa Velha SC. The all-important goal for the winners came in the 25th minute of play through the boots of Mayuresh Naik from the penalty spot.
