PANJIM: Unbeaten half centuries by Miskin Brothers (Paresh Miskin 53* and Balkrishna Miskin 58*) helped Bardez Dragons defeat Salcete Sttrikers by nine wickets to emerge champions in the Geno Masters T-20 veterans cricket tournament, organised by Geno Cricket Club of Mapusa, played at Porvorim Cricket Academy ground, Porvorim.
Salcete Strikers batted first and scored 139 for 7 in 20 overs.
Rajesh Ghodge top scored with 68 runs while Devashish scored 45. Yeshwant Barde, Sanjay Naik, Shekhar Malwankar and Balkrishna Miskin took a wicket each.
In reply, Bardez Dragons achieved the target in the 18th over scoring 140 for the loss of 1 wicket.
Rohan Khanvte, Minister for Revenue was the chief guest and handed over the prizes.
Yeshwant Barde was felicitated by the organisers for umpiring in IPL 2017.
