PANJIM: Ishwar Nagvekar scored three goals to lead his team Mayem Boys to a comfortable 7-1 against Kelambika Boys in the U-13 Boys match of the GFDC Vodafone Rising Star Football festival, at Mayem ground, recently.
Harsh Patre, Karthik Malvankar and Sahil Naik also contributed for the winning team. By the end of first half Mayem Boys were leading 3-1. Prathamesh Kinalkar was the only goal scorer for the Kelambika Boys. Second half was in complete control of the Mayem Boys as they scored four goals. Harsh Patre scored two goals, one of which included a penalty kick. Karthik Malvankar and Sahil Naik scored one goal each. Ishwar was adjourned the player of the match.
At Utorda ground, in the U-10 Boys match, Twinkling Stars outplayed Dizzling Stars 8-0 with goals from Clive Fernandes (3), Langston Vas (2), Ashwell Gonsalves (3).
In the U-13 match, Challengers beat Tuff Boys 1-0 with a goal from Alroy Dias.
Sharpshooters drew 1-1 with Warriors. Goal scorer for Sharshooters was Anlon Fernandes while the goal scorer for Warriors was Marshall Barretto.
