Invitational volleyball tournament organized by
Wilred Leisure Sports Club at St Alex church
court, Curtorim on Saturday.
In a well-contested 2nd semi-finals on Thursday,
in front of a capacity crowd, Bharat Petroleum
led by captain Vimal Jacob, B Anil and R Rajiv
hit some unstopabble smashes to take the first
set 25-21.
In the second set Southern Railways again
matched their opponents till 20 with some fine
spiking from James John and Mukesh Lal but
faltered in the final five points to lose the
second set 25-21.
In the third set Bharat Petroleum upped their
game with some fine movements at the net and good
smashes from Jaya Prakash and T P Sayooj to win
comfortably 25-16.
Xavier Vaz, Director, Premier Leisure was the
chief guest.
