NAVELIM: Canacona Sports and Cultural Club defeated Rossman Cruz, Nagoa Verna 6-4 via the tie-breaker to enter into the quarterfinals of the Navelim Villagers Union Golden jubilee trophy in memory of Jose Santa Rita Coelho (Babush) inter village football tournament, at Rosary Church ground, Navelim, on Friday.
Anderu John opened the score-line for Verna in the 12th minute with a placement shot. Later, in the second half, Terrance Lobo equalised for Canacona with a penalty kick in the 76th minute.

In the tie-breaker, Canacona Sports and Cultural Club netted through Austin Diniz, Prafhal Velio, Yamunazab Pinger, Rannel D’Souza and Terrance Lobo while Andru Jhon, Savio Fernandes and Noel D’Souza found the net for Rossman Cruz, Nagoa-Verna.
