CHINCHINIM: Albert developers CDJ Ribadar defeated Betalbatim SC 5-4 via tie-breaker to storm into the semi-finals of the Our lady of Merces Cup football tournament organized by Sirlim Sports club and played at Our Lady of Hope Church ground, Chinchinim, on Friday.
Klinsman Fernandes scored 1-0 for Betalbatim in the 7th minute while Chandrakant Naik equalized for CDJ Ribandar in the 67th minute of Daniel Rodrigues pass.
The match was locked in a 1-1 draw at full time.
In the resultant tie-breaker, CDJ Ribandar netted through Krishnath Shirodkar, Octavio Miranda, Hasten Cardozo and Chandrakant Naik while Betalbatim scored through Klusner Pereira, Travaris Baretto and Princeton Rebello.
