PANJIM: Salgaocar FC under new Head Coach Norbert Gonasalves ended their pre-season on a high note for the the upcoming Police Cup and Goa Professional League.
In their first friendly, the Green Brigades got the better of Calangute Association defeating them 4-1, at Duler Stadium, Mapusa.
A stunning 5 star performance for Norbert and the team as they over powered Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim 5-0 which was played at Fatorda on the outside turf.
Salgaocar FC were put to the test against The Indian Navy (Goa) side, but the lads of Salgaocar FC were too quick and strong for the Navy to hold them as the match at Duler Stadium, Mapusa ended 13-0.
With these massive wins in their pre-season matches, Salgaocar FC are all set for the new season with the first match in the Police Cup against Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim, at Ambelim ground, on August 7 and against Sporting Clube de Goa in the Charity Cup on August 14, at Duler stadium, at 4 p.m.
