RAIA: Canacona Sports and Cultural Club sealed a place in the final of Fr Gervasio Pinto inter-village memorial football tournament pipping Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, 1-0, at Figueiredo ground, Pontemol-Curchorem, on Monday.
Both teams played an attacking soccer and got equal number of opportunities but Canacona Sports and Cultural Club got the much-needed goal through their striker Chaitan Komarpant in the 36th minute of play.
Anand Rodrigues, member of the club, presented the man-of-the-match award to Chaitan Komarpant.
