Union of Chinchinim Villagers defeated Davorlim Sports Club 4-2 in GFA Third Division League at Curtorim ground on Sunday. They were leading 3-1at half time.
Chinchinim enjoyed the lion share of exchanges but it Davorlim who took the lead in the 15th minute when Domnic Borges punished the rival goalkeeper with a deft placement.
Unfazed, Chinchinim dominated the remaining period and made a couple of attempts to score. Wayne Colaco put his team on level terms in the 25th minute.
The equaliser spurred Chinchinim to pile on the pressure which Davorlim failed to contain.
Chinchinim made several forays and Sanford Faria regained the lead in the 32nd minute. Jeetendra Bhise made it 3-1 in favour of Chinchinim at the stroke of lemon break.
There was no let up after the break and Chinchinim went into the attacking mode. However, their shoddy defence conceded another goal when Stanley Gomes beat the Chinchinim goalkeeper with a placement in the 70th minute.
Chinchinim retaliated and Joe Cliff Rebello rounded off the tally in the 76th minute.
At Dramapur ground, Social and Welfare Club, Zaino downed Dramapur Sports Club 2-0.
