PANJIM: Churchill Brothers defeated Dempo Sports club 3-0 in an exhibition football match organised by Crown Club, Santa Cruz at Santa Cruz football ground on Sunday on the occasion of the Village feast of Holy Cross and the club completing 75 years.
Churchill took the lead in the 20th minute of the first half through Binesh Balan. In the second half Churchill doubled the lead through a penalty. Churchill rounded off the tally in the 65th minute to emerge winners of the match.

Earlier the team was introduced by Victor Gonsalves to the guest honour, Roque Dias, Director S.A.I, Bangalore and Wilfred D’ Souza, Senior Manager of Dempo Group of Companies.
Fr Alexander Pereira, Parish Priest of Santa Cruz was the Chief Guest spoke and appreciated the club long sports activities and wish the members to raise the club to greater heights and distributed the prizes.
Victor Gonsalves, President, of the club in his address, congratulated all the present and past members and appreciates the members of their services rendered to this oldest club of Goa and appeal to the members to continue their work for this club.
